Record Keeping – Keep records of as much as you can. Overall stable profits / losses, individual horse profits / losses, how each horse has ran, time trials of each horse etc etc. At the end of each day I generally spend half an hour checking the race results for each horse noting the performance to jockey ratio, result, race info & profits. When nominating a horse I click on the spreadsheet and I have a list of how he has performed over each condition in relation to the jockey.
Training – If you have the time manually train your horses to a sequence that will maximise the information gained for each cycle. I always change one factor and one factor only between training runs.
Forums - Don’t go crying over a bad run of randoms or getting rubbish in the sales ring as if your new to the game you can be sure your only making yourself look like a twat. You can bet that there is always someone worse off than you.
Hp - Use the Hp function to assist in finding good races for your horses. To optimize your horses performance it needs to race on the conditions it likes and keep away from the bad ones, this feature is ideal for this.
Filters - Another good way of nominating your horses is by using the race program option and filtering. This is ideal for searching for EB only races or G1 races with bonuses last minute to pick up small field races.
Categories - Once you get a sizeable stable you need to categorise using the my categories option on the stable page you can then sort your horses by age, sex, distance liked, goings, whatever you want. The way I do mine is to have my top horses first so that when I am short on time I deal with them first nice and easy. On page two is ‘needs trained’ for horses that have flipped and need trained. When you have 10+ pages of horses filtering through em all takes forever!
Auto train - on that note once the ideal conditions are found, set up the auto train so that you don’t need to waste valuable time. I do this with G2’s and ungraded horses while manually training my G1’s always.
The Ring - NEVER BUY FROM THE RING WITH CASH.....ALWAYS USE BONUS CREDITS
